Rhode Island’s Shed Theory are an example of this, a collective sound: experimental, ambient infused production, they have coined ‘nod’.
Cross pollination replaces genre loyalty. Sounds circulate freely across networks, shaped collectively through shared tools, aesthetics, linked by autotune as texture, digital pristine, and a distinctly online emotional sensibility.
