Within the vast realm that is music, there is always room for fresh talent that breathes a bit of life into the creative landscape. Today, we introduce you to the refreshing upcoming artist ‘Laurent’ with their first track “Hunting Season”.

Kat Cabellero-Rennie, the artist known as ‘Laurent’, began making music at an Edinburgh Youth group when she was 15. Two years later she released her first song “Hunting Season” which was inspired through turning the instructions that no one reads on packaging into a song. Her unique approach invites us into a new generation of music, seamlessly merging powerful vocals with energetic instrumental elements. Influenced by Sigrid, Mother Mother and local talent “Vistas” she encourages her lyrics to be interpreted how people like and we encourage you to do the same. 

“Hunting Season” was released on the 16th June and is the first single of her upcoming EP “Modern Myths” which is due for release on the 4th August 2023. However, if you cannot wait till then you are in luck as her new single “Paint” is coming out on the 6th July!
