NEW SINGLE RELEASE - Sell By 'Headlights'

Struggling with originality and heartbreak played over a sick guitar riff

The small indie trio from Surrey has released yet another, catchy and relatable single. Talking about the struggles of trying to be your own unique person in a world where everything has been done before. The beginning of the song sets up this story of heartbreak and the overthinking that follows with the opening lyrics, “my mind just keeps cover over all those things he said last night”. This opening lyric paired with the in-your-face drum beat, really lets you know what to expect for the rest of the song.

The chorus is catchy and will have you singing by the second time you here it. Discussing the struggle of staying original and trying to find something that hasn’t been done before while also wishing that for someone else, with the lines “all I wanted for you” repeated throughout the song.

‘Headlights’ is the 5th single to be released by the trio. Opening with a repeated bass riff that continues throughout the song. Issy Kennedy absolutely kills it on the bass for the band single after single, always adding something a bit more to the song. This single echoes the same sound of their previous release ‘Talk about’. Both Headlights and Talk About, have a grunge/indie mix to their instrumental, this paired with the rasp of James Crowhurst’s voice on vocals creates the perfect sound to their songs which is different from their other singles so far. Throughout this song you are constantly met with this powerful drum beat played by the talented Jamie Royle, that you just can’t help but nod your head in time with. Having only started releasing music this year and only just preformed their first show in October this year, this band clearly has great chemistry together with every individuals sounds merging perfectly to form the bands unique sound. If you’re into small indie bands with hints of grunge in their sound this song is perfect to add to you’re playlist.
