“ This is a massive moment for me as an artist being this is my first of many releases on @onelittleindierecords. I wanted the cover to be on my council estate in Holloway Road I’ve spent my whole life on. This is the place that has made me who I am and has given me invaluable experiences. They wonder how we get our style and steeze they try pretend they are from the streets and copy it’s a disease. They are gonna have to copy the pain and struggle that makes us unique. It’s a shame there aren’t more working class musicians in this industry but let’s be honest it’s hard to have a part time job and do music at the same time without having your parents to bank roll you through or pay your rent. Most of your faves are like this I’m just asking you to question why it isn’t more diverse out there. I’m tired of seeing privileged people pretend they are from the same background as me for aesthetic. I wasn’t born with a silver spoon in my mouth and although it’s been hard at times I think that makes our achievements more impressive. So without being a cliche be the change you want to see in the world. Let’s make the music industry a more diverse place because wouldn’t it be more interesting to hear the perspectives of people from different nationalities, intersectionality and creeds?
