The lull of the steady beat drives the song forward whilst the listener is simultaneously enticed by Tiiva’s surreal, melodies. Already, Bristol-based artist Tiiva has a reputation for their pop euphoria, charged lyrics and seamless electronic production: ‘Tornados’ follows this charged and abstract-pop quality.
With tenacity, Tiiva shared that “Tornados is about possibility and hope through hedonism and thinking about the different directions you can take…”. In this sense, it is a hypnotic song which fittingly draws the listener into a sense of spring rebirth, whilst anticipating the gratification of summer. Tiiva adds that ‘TORNADOS’ is “inspired from spiritual ideals of using intuition instead of influence, listening to primal voices and leaning into self-trust and belief to keep going when things are difficult or confusing in life.” Tiiva invites us to turn inwards and reflect in the uplifting self-conscious of ‘TORNADOS’; to unwind in its hypnotic resonance and weightlessness.
‘TORNADOS’ is the follow up to Tiiva’s debut EP ‘Fireflies’ which was released at the end of 2023. Already, Tiiva’s approach has resonated with many, such as the likes of Clash, DIVA, Them., The Line of Best Fit and Wonderland, to name just a few. Now, working in co-production with producer Moritz Kerschbaumer, ‘Tornados’ is the anticipated first single from their collaboration.
